Investor

As a prospective business partner, I am also willing to consider opportunities to invest in businesses or ideas provided, of course, that the returns are commensurate with the risk. This could be in the form of an equity stake or a short-term business loan.

Because I do not consider myself to be a professional ’business angel’, any investment or loan made would be conditional on me believing that I could also add value in some form or other to the business. In other words, it is highly unlikely that I would consider a passive investment (silent partner), there are, however, other organisations that may more appropriate for this type of investment opportunity.

In principle, my intention in investing in a business would be to align my interests with those of the other investors rather than being the sole source of finance for the venture. That said, I am always willing to discuss any business opportunity and if there is merit, I would reconsider my position.

Opportunity Knocks!

If you have an idea for a new venture, are lacking the skills to take your business to the next level, are seeking some financial support or need other forms of support, then a business partner could be exactly what you are looking for. With some 25 years senior management experience which encompasses new ventures, business turnarounds and trade sales, I can offer my knowledge and skills to individuals who have a business idea or want to exploit a new business opportunity, but lack the resources to employ an individual at this level. I am also willing, in some instances, to provide capital in return for equity or, alternatively, a short-term business loan, depending on the circumstances. I will not take on anything where I do not consider I can add value and I am honest enough to say so, however, I am always willing to discuss any opportunity with prospective, budding or existing entrepreneurs.
