Summary:
My background is primarily sales and marketing and through successes in these areas, I have moved into general management roles. Therefore, for the most part, my career has been developed within business that require a sales and marketing bias, often operating on small margins. With small operating margins, I have developed well honed skills in relation to reviewing and understanding profit and loss reports, as well as a need to ensure that value is received for every penny invested. In addition, I fully appreciate the need to develop incremental revenue through value added sales or services. I am aware of my limitations however, and I know that I am not suited to a business that has a long sales cycles or those that are primarily reactive.
